Why didn't I think of this before?

1 simple AND powerful addition to the daily mind-cleanse!

Each morning as part of my 4M routine, I list what is on my mind - things I need to get done that relate to any part of my life.

It is not a things to-do list which I believe traps many people into a race from top to bottom, with no account taken for importance, value or proirity.

A mind-cleanse is different. Once completed, I immediately review the list and tick the items that are high value - the ones I must focus on (as opposed to wanting to complete everything).

With the ticked items, there are two options. If the item can be completed quickly, my objective is to complete it that day. These are the activities I will start with once my 4M routine is complete. If the item requires a period longer than a few minutes, I schedule it into the next available time-block in my diary.

‘What gets in my diary gets done.’

My mind-cleanse ensures I have captured what is on my mind and I am organized around value and importance. It frees my mind to enable me to enjoy my meditation and get more value from my Mozart time.

Last week during a Mozart time session, the most obvious thought struck me. I needed to add an extra column to the mind-cleanse. Things that needed doing BUT NOT BY ME!

Simple, simple, simple!!

See the illustration. I now add the inital or name of the person who needs to complete the activity on my behalf!

Always learning, improving and adding my 10% winning edge!!
